Profile:  Brian Ward – big Canadian keeper who has been in outstanding form this season, amazingly justifying comparisons laughingly made with Peter Schmeichel early in the season by the Somerset intelligentsia.  After finally getting used to not keeping goal with a stick and face mask (although most of the squad still wishes he would use the hockey mask!!) and managing to fit his bulky frame into his pygmy goalkeeper’s kit, Brian has now recovered from a ballbusting(!) game of softball to reinforce his position as the No.1 Pot stopper.
