Profile: Steve Rosney - converted midfielder and occasionally foul-mouthed sweeper who has been a rock at the back (when not suspended for being sent off for swearing at the officials) since the departure of the much missed Paul and Scanlon combo. Infrequent forays up field for corners remind him of the good old days as a goalscoring midfielder, as did his classic early season headed own goal. Domestic bliss seems to have made his hell-raising a thing of the past, with his consistent performances this season not necessarily unconnected to his repeated failure to be the last out of the Beach at 4am on a Saturday morning these past few months. |
