Profile:  The remaining Staffordshire lad in the squad now the Bald Eagle has flown the nest, age and wisdom dictates a move back from midfield to defence for the closely cropped Cooper.  Impressive performances in pre-season mark him out as a potential rock at the back this season if his hamstring stays strung (or whatever the proper term is!).
